Homeowner How-To Videos

Updated in 2007, this collection of 14 short videos teaches homeowners the steps they can take to strengthen their homes and safeguard their families against disaster. Blueprint for Safety^® Education Program

This FLASH program disseminates the most comprehensive set of disaster-resistant building techniques available today. Blueprint for Safety uses an interactive website (www.blueprintforsafety.org) free consumer guides, contractor's field manuals, and printed and electronic newsletters Also, the program offers accredited classes for Florida builders and inspectors.

Homeowners Insurance Guide to Natural Disasters

This publication, available in English and Spanish, is designed to teach home-owners about the major perils that threaten their property while helping them understand different insurance products and forms, as well as steps they can take to mitigate potential losses from natural disasters.

FLASH One-Stop Resource Guides

This publication originally developed as a media reference guide, provides region specific safety information in a compact format for consumers. The guides can be produced with your logo and information for individual states or regions on specific topics such as Hurricanes, High Winds, Floods, or as an All-Hazards Guide.
