ICCF Scholarships FAQ's

Why was the ICCF Scholarship Program created?

The Foundation established a Scholarship program to support building and fire safety by supporting the education of existing and future code officials; increasing participation in code development and honoring those who have been essential to the formation of ICC.

What scholarships does ICCF offer?

The current scholarships offered by the Foundation are:

  • Advanced Building Safety Leadership Scholarships
  • Code of Honor Scholarships
  • Managed Scholarships
  • Professional Education Scholarships
  • Sponsored Scholarships

Who is eligible to apply for funding through the scholarship program?

There are different eligibility requirements for each scholarship. Scholarships mainly target ICC government members, senior level code officials, code officials working in new or small building code departments, and ICC family members.

How is the scholarship program funded?

The scholarship program is funded through donations made from private and public sources. Donations made can be directed to support a specific scholarship within the program.

How many scholarships are awarded annually through the Scholarship Program?

The actual number of awards depends on available funding. All funding received in support of the Scholarship Program is made available, the Foundation does not use funds for administrative expenses.
