Chapters contribute to ICCF Members Helping Members fund

We are sorry to report the Members Helping Members Fund has been depleted. It has been our pleasure to facilitate the dispersion of relief funds provided by the ICC membership. We wish all who were negatively impacted by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita the best of luck in dealing with very difficult situations.

ICC Chapters contributed nearly $50,000 to the International Code Council Foundation’s (ICCF) Members Helping Members fund to benefit hurricane victims. The fund was established to assist employees and families of building and fire departments impacted by the storms.

Chapters contributing to the fund included: New York State Building Officials Conference, Northern Adrondack NYSBOC, Southern Tier Building Officials, Finger Lakes Building Officials Association, Capital District Chapter NYSBOC, Mid-Hudson Chapter NYSBOC, Building Officials Association of Nassau County, Niagara Frontier Building Officials Association; Minnesota Chapters (Building Permit Technicians Association, Ten Thousand Lakes, Arrowhead, Northwest Minnesota, Southwest Minnesota, Southeast Minnesota, Association of Minnesota Code Officials, Association of Minnesota Building Officials), Building Officials Association of Texas, West Georgia Inspectors Association, NAPA/Solano Chapter of California.

Also, the Foundation presented $15,000 to Habitat for Humanity for its tsunami relief fund. “We look forward to a long relationship relationship with ICC,” said Habitat’s Clive Rainey. “I can’t imagine a more natural partnership.”
