(WASHINGTON, D.C.) --- The International Code Council Foundation (ICCF) today announced the Code of Honor Scholarship Group A winners. The Code of Honor Scholarship program ensures the I-Codes continue to reflect the consensus view of government officials at all levels by providing funding to Code Council Governmental Member Voting Representatives seeking to attend Final Action Hearings.
“With the current economic environment, the scholarship gives an opportunity to individuals that want to begin or continue to participate in the code development process to do so. My hat goes off to ICC for developing such a program,” said Alan Plante, a Code of Honor Scholarship applicant.
The Foundation received 126 applications representing 32 states with awards presented to recipients in 20 states and the Cayman Islands.
“We congratulate those who earned scholarships to financially support their participation in Final Action Hearings,” said ICCF Board of Governors President and ICC CEO Rick Weiland. “Code development is the basic building block that results in safe buildings where we can live, work and play.”
