Allison Hogarth (North Palm Beach, Florida) was awarded the William J. Tangye Scholarship. In high school, Allison participated in two varsity sports, the National Honor Society, Florida Association of Police Explorers, and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program. She is a freshman at The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. with a major in mechanical engineering and a minor in political science. Allison hopes to use her mechanical engineering degree to pursue a career in the federal government and work in cooperation with the United States military. |

Chase Raylan McAbee (Greenville, South Carolina) was awarded the J.W. “Bill” Neese Scholarship. In high school, Chase excelled in music and academics. Musically, he performed with the School Corp of Cadets Marching Band and the Corp of Cadets Winter Indoor Percussion Group. He also was a member of the High Honors Concert Choir and the High Young Men’s Ensemble. Academically, Chase was a member of the Beta Club and the Academic Team. His academic awards include the Rotary Club Scholastic Achievement, and the Erskine Fellow Award. He was named a Palmetto Fellow Scholarship winner by the state of South Carolina. Chase attends Furman University where he is majors in Music Education and Vocal Performance |

Jason Nagin (Clearwater, Florida) was awarded the Charlie O’Meilia Scholarship. In high school, Jason was a member of the Technical Honor Society, Youth Engineering Society, and the National Honor Society. He was a member of the FIRST Robotics Team and the CATCOM Multi-Media Organization. Jason volunteered many hours in his high school tutoring students in math and science, and also volunteered at the Pinellas County’s Communications Studio. He is a freshman at the Burnett Honors College of the University of Central Florida, with a major in Computer Science/Engineering. He plans to become a Computer Programmer/Designer |

Kevin Ossege (Cincinnati, Ohio) was awarded the ICC Foundation General Scholarship. He is currently in his third year at the University of Cincinnati. Kevin is on the Dean’s List and participates in many organizations such as the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, Honors Scholars Program, and the Rally Cats Spirit Group. Additionally, he volunteers at the Free Store Food Bank and is involved in many other volunteer activities including the Hunger Walk, Mail Carriers collection, Bethany House deliveries, Relay for Life, and Tyler’s Run for SIDS research. Kevin majors in Mechanical Engineering and plans to become an Engineer. |

Edward Bentley, III (Sylacauga, Alabama) was awarded the C.D. Howard Scholarship. Edward is in his senior year at the University of Alabama where he is a member of the Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta (Math Honors) Dean’s List, “S” Club, the U.S. Golf Achievement Academy, Sigma Alpha Lambda Honor Society, and Dean’s List School of Engineering. He is a recipient of the Paul “Bear” Bryant Scholarship. His major is in Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. |

Eric Freeman (Nixa, Missouri) was awarded the ICC Foundation General Scholarship. Eric currently attends Ozarks Technical College and plans to transfer to the University of Arkansas in 2009. He won the Teacher’s Choice Award, A+ Scholarship, and is on the Dean’s List. Eric is a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, Student Government Association, and the Engineering Club. He is presently working on a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. He plans to pursue a masters degree in Environmental Engineering and use his knowledge to help develop wind power and other forms of alternative energy. |
